Guests register at the Church all day Sunday. It will be open all four days with light refreshments and an open bar. Information on the UU Niagara Experience and the area attractions will be there. It will be staffed by Church members to assist guests. Both tours will begin from and return to the hotel. They will be on modern, air conditioned motor coaches.
Day One-Sunday – No group activities are scheduled this day. Guests who arrive early are encouraged to attend Sunday Church and will be served lunch as part of our coffee hour. The Church will be open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Guided hikes into the Niagara Gorge and to Niagara Falls will start from the Church in the afternoon.
Guests are on their own for supper Sunday. Many restaurants, in all price ranges, are within a short distance from the Church. Our members/hosts can help guests make a choice.
Day Two – Monday - An extensive tour of Niagara Falls will be conducted by Church members experienced in Niagara tourism. We will visit both the US and Canadian sides and take in the best attractions including the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls and the cable ride over the Whirlpool. A picnic lunch will be served on the tour.
After the tour, cocktails will be served at the Church. Supper will consist of local Western New York cuisine, including "beef on 'weck" and "Buffalo wings". Night viewing of the lighted Falls will be available for those interested.
Day Three – Tuesday - An all day group bus tour will include the Erie Canal and some of its locks, an Underground Railroad experience, and Old Fort Niagara. Lunch will be provided on the tour.
Cocktails will be served at the Church, followed by a banquet and entertainment.
Final night viewing of the lighted Falls will be possible.
Day Four – Wednesday - The Church will be open until Noon to assist our departing guests. A travel snack will be available early in the morning. This can be eaten on the trip home or here in Niagara Falls.
Total price is $500 per guest based on double occupancy. This includes all meals and refreshments served by the Church and all the costs of both the tours, in addition to the three nights accommodations.
The number of guests is limited. A non refundable deposit of $100 per guest is required to hold a reservation. The balance is due June 1, 2009.
