Children

Children are welcome to be participants in our UU Niagara Experience.  Niagara Falls is a very family oriented tourist
destination.  The tours we conduct are absolutely appropriate for all ages, including children.  Many attractions are
great for children.  Only a few are not suitable for children, most specifically the casino which does not admit anyone
under 21 years old.

Anyone considering registering children in our UU Niagara Experience should, however, understand that this is
designed for adults and some of our activities may not appeal to many children.  Since most of our costs are the same
regardless of age, and because our space is limited, the registration price is the same for all participants including
children and seniors.

Singles

Our registration fee is based on double occupancy.  We will pair singles with room mates of the same sex, charging no
premium or $500 per person.  The premium for a single unshared room occupancy is $150 for a total of $650 per
person.

Housing accommodations

All UUNEX guests are housed at the Days Inn at the Falls.

Guests who prefer to provide their own accommodations may register for $400.  Niagara Falls has a large quantity and
variety of hotels, motels, commercial bed and breakfasts, and camp grounds.  Those choosing to use these should
make reservations well in advance.  Our UU Niagara Experience is during the peak season.  Most facilities are sold out
well in advance.  We can provide some suggestions.  Be sure to indicate this is your option when you send your $100
deposit, or we will assume you will use our accommodations for the full $500 per person.

Handicapped accessibility

Our Church building is equipped with an elevator to make it accessible without the need to climb steps.  We also have
a wheel chair accessible restroom.  The sanctuary has an inductive loop which allows people with hearing aids to pick
up our sound system by switching the "T" switch in their hearing aids.  We also provide head sets which pick up the
signal.

Register for only some activities

We are not set up to have participants pay for only certain parts of our four day package.  If you decide to visit
Niagara Falls any other time, please visit our Church.  We are located a short walk from the Falls themselves.  We
welcome you and will be delighted to offer suggestions for you to enjoy our area.

Information Package

An information package will be sent to each registered guest several weeks before the UU Niagara Experience, including
detailed driving routes, parking directions, time schedules, and other information.

Local Transportation

Each guest is responsible to travel to and from the hotel.  Car pooling from the airport is encouraged.  We will help set
this up and even make group pick ups, if needed.  The major car rentals are available at the Buffalo airport.  There are
also taxi and shuttle services to and from the airport.  It is even possible to travel from the Buffalo airport to the hotel
on city buses at much less cost.

Vegetarian Meals

All the meals we provide are meat based.  Meat free alternative meals are available.  Guests who want vegetarian meals
indicate this on their questionnaire.

Airports

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is the closest airport with commercial airline service.  It is about 45
minutes by car from the Church.  Other possible airports are in Rochester and Toronto, which are each about 2 hours
from the Church.  Niagara Falls International Airport is only about 10 minutes from the Church, but it mainly serves
private and charter flights with a very limited number of commercial flights sometimes available.

Canadian Border Crossing

Our tour on Monday includes viewing the Falls from Canada together with the Behind the Falls and Cable car
attractions in Canada.  This is the only part of our event which requires crossing the Canadian border.  Some guests
may choose to cross the border additionally on their own.  Each guest who crosses the border must have satisfactory
identification.  A valid passport is scheduled to be required in 2009.  This has been planned the last several years, but
its implementation has constantly been delayed.   An original birth certificate with a form of government issued picture
ID, such as a driver's licence, is being accepted now, July 2008.  Since 9/11, the border crossings have been more
tightly regulated than in the past.  No one should despair if they can not cross the Canadian border.  They will only
miss the Canadian views of the Falls and attractions in Canada.  This will not spoil their UU Niagara Experience.  Our
tour includes the Maid of the Mist which we take from the US side of the river, so it does not involve a border crossing.
Guests unable or choosing not to cross the Canadian border will be offered alternative attractions in the US and will be
able to join the tour when it returns to the US for lunch.  On the other hand, we encourage each guest to obtain and
carry a passport (or a special enhanced driver's license) as soon a possible to make border crossing easy.
